Maslak Mansions was built during the reign of Mahmut II and during the reign of Abdulhamid II. Although additional buildings have been built on the destroyed parts until today, it is still one of the historical buildings that has managed to survive.

The Mansions are divided into some sections according to their functions and areas of use. This Mansions also generally have sections such as  Mabeyn-iHümayun, Kasr-ı Hümayun, Seyir Mansion, Ağalar Apartment, Hammam, Guard Room, Telegraph Room, Water Tank, Horse Barn (Backgammon), Lemon Holder, Tent Mansion, Birdman and Gardener Room and kitchen called Matbah.

Maslak Mansions are built on approximately 170 thousand square meters of land in total. Among these structures, Mabeyn-iHümayun, Kasr-ı Hümayun, Limonluk, Ağalar Daire and Tent Mansion are the sections that have survived to the present day.

Maslak Mansions, also Sultan II. Also known as the place where he was informed that Abdulhamid II would take the throne. Until 1924, Sultan II. The building, which is the personal property of Abdulhamid II, was used between 1937 and 1982 for the treatment of soldiers who had tuberculosis but did not get tuberculosis.

The Mansions were transferred to the National Palaces after being restored in 1984.

Sections of the Mansion

The Mansions usually consist of 5 parts. The sections of this Mansion consist of Kasr-ı Humayun, Mabeyn-i Humayun, Tent Mansion, Pasha’s Circle and Lemon Lodge.

Kasr-ı Hümayun: This section includes Sultan Abdülhamit’s study and bedroom. The ceilings are equipped with colorful pencil decorations.

Mabeyn-i Hümayun: It is known as the private apartment of the Sultan. It is small and single storey.

Tent Mansion: Built in an octagonal plan, it is one of the most interesting parts of the mansion with its wooden designs.

Pasha’s Office: It was built as a single-storey building. There is also a bathhouse in it.

Lemon Holder: It is the part of the garden where precious plants are located.
